Sustainably Sourced / Ancestral / Visionary / Ethically Wildcrafted Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows near the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal.
In Spanish, the name translates to “Holy Wood – Tree of Life.”
Palo Santo is traditionally used to purify bacteria from the air and above all, to clear bad energy and spirits that stagnate within spaces. It is also commonly used for relieving common colds, flu symptoms, stress, asthma, headaches, anxiety, depression, inflammation, emotional pain and more…
A wondrous treasure of nature. Not only does the Holy Wood spread a lovely, warm scent, it also cleanses your home from negative energies. A treat to start the day or after a long day of worrying.
Spiritual and energetic cleansing: the indigenous people of the Andes used this wood during their rituals. They believed the burning wood would remove negative energies and restore the calmity.
Deeper connection with yourself: the sweet, warm scent of the wood is perfect during meditation. The calming effect combines perfectly with the deeper connection you try to become while meditating.
Our Palo Santo is 100% ethically harvested from Peru. We work directly with a small native family from the Lambayeque – Chiclayo Región in northern Peru. They ethically harvest from naturally fallen and aged trees (minimum of four years), while replanting in the wild. The family we work with have been stewards of this preserved land for generations, and have been care taking these trees in a sacred manner for more than 100 years.
Usage : Light one end of the stick while holding it at a 45 degree angle, let it burn for about 30 to 40 seconds and blow out the flame again. The cabbage glows for a while and spreads its sweet, warm scent. Put him on a plate and nature does the rest.
BE AWARE that most Palo Santo you see in the markets are not ethically harvested from naturally fallen and dead trees, nor directly supporting indigenous families to receive livable wages. We aim to provide sustainable Palo Santo to support the preservation of native lands, and culture that surrounds the sacred and ceremonial harvest of this sacred tree. Supporting proper harvesting supports the preservation of indigenous lands and consciousness.
